Nella sua performance, PYUR presenterà nuovi brani che faranno parte del suo prossimo album “Mass Oneiria”, oltre a improvvisazioni elettroniche capaci di costruire un viaggio immersivo sia per gli ascoltatori che per i ballerini. Le texture sonore, i synth dal taglio cinematografico e i ritmi imprevedibili sono trasformativi ed evocano un'intensità di emozioni familiare ma allo stesso tempo innovativa. PYUR esplode la club music e costruisce qualcosa di vibrante dalle sue macerie. Dal vivo, il sound sembra lo spettro della rave music sparato nuovamente sulla pista da ballo. Il che equivale a dire: mentre molta della musica che ricabla l'estetica rave sembra mirare a una contemplazione puramente intellettuale, quella di PYUR riesce a ottenere anche un'attivazione fisica e corporea.I loop spezzati assumono un rilievo inquietante nel mix, e le texture spettrali di sottofondo acquistano una presenza minacciosa. L'artista gestisce un equilibrio brillante tra ritmo ed energia. Molti dei suoni che utilizza sono astratti, i ritmi sono intimamente destabilizzati. Attraverso questi complessi tasselli, un movimento oscillante si propaga dal palcoscenico per trasmettersi direttamente al pubblico.

PYUR è il progetto solista dell'artista elettronica berlinese Sophie Schnell. Con una formazione radicata nella composizione classica e nell'arte vocale, i suoi lavori nascono dalla fusione tra le sue esperienze sinestetiche e la sua crescita all'interno di una stirpe di sciamani, dando vita a un suono unico e capace di sfidare ogni confine. Avendo esordito con l'album "Epoch Sinus" su Hotflush Recordings (2016), seguito dal suo secondo album, "Oratorio for the Underworld” su Subtext Recordings (2019), l'artista ha messo in mostra un panorama sonoro intrigante e senza frontiere. Tra un viaggio e l'altro tra la Bretagna, le montagne del Giura e il Tirolo, PYUR ha dato vita a "Lucid Anarchy", il suo terzo album, pubblicato su Subtext il 12 gennaio 2024. In PYUR's performance, she will showcase new pieces which are part of her upcoming album “Mass Oneiria” as well as electronic improvisations that build an immersive journey both for the listeners and dancers. The sonic textures, cinematic synthwork and unpredictable rhythms are transformative and evoke a familiar yet innovative intensity of emotions. PYUR explodes club music and builds something vibrant from the wreckage. Live, it sounds like the ghosts of rave being fired back out onto the dance floor. Which is to say, while a lot of music which rewires rave aesthetics feels aimed at heady contemplation, PYUR’s also achieves bodily activation. Broken loops are given disturbing prominence in the mix, haunted background textures taking ominous presence. She wields a brilliant balance of pace and energy. Many of the sounds she uses are abstract, the rhythms are intimately destabilized. Through the complex tessellations a swaying motion moves out from the stage and into the audience.
During the concert, artists from different disciplines draw inspiration from one another, improvising and creating something unique and impossible to replicate.

PYUR is the solo endeavor of Berlin-based electronic artist Sophie Schnell. With a foundation rooted in classical composition and vocal artistry, her works are born from the fusion of her synesthetic experiences and her upbringing within a lineage of shamans, resulting in her unique and boundary-defying sound. Debuting with the album "Epoch Sinus" on Hotflush Recordings (2016), followed by her second album, "Oratorio for the Underworld” on Subtext Recordings (2019), she showcased a borderless and intriguing sonic landscape. Amidst travels between Bretagne, the Jura mountains, and Tirol, PYUR created "Lucid Anarchy," her third album, released on Subtext January 12th '24. Through gestural control PYUR guides her audience through her captivating live performances.
