Tricksy MOB è un trio composto da batteria, basso e un sistema integrato di drum machine, sintetizzatori e dispositivi elettronici che costituiscono il terzo membro del progetto, nonché il suo cuore pulsante. La band presenta una rilettura contemporanea del power trio anni ’90, in cui la chitarra viene sostituita da strumenti elettronici, capaci di generare texture, ritmi e ambienti sonori in costante evoluzione. L’identità musicale di Tricksy MOB nasce dall’incontro di trent’anni di cultura elettronica con il rock alternativo degli anni ’90, fondendo groove, suoni sintetici e un’attitudine tipicamente rock.nIl repertorio si articola tra brani originali, reinterpretazioni e ampie sezioni di improvvisazione, sviluppate in tempo reale e influenzate dall’interazione tra i musicisti e le macchine. La performance dal vivo si discosta dalla tradizionale struttura “a brani” del rock: il set è concepito come un flusso continuo di musica, beat e suoni elettronici, più vicino all’esperienza di un DJ set che a un concerto rock convenzionale.
Durante il concerto, artisti di discipline diverse si lasciano ispirare gli uni dagli altri, improvvisando e dando vita a qualcosa di unico e impossibile da replicare.
Tricksy MOB is a trio consisting of drums, bass, and an integrated system of drum machines, synthesizers, and electronic devices that serve as the third member of the project, as well as its beating heart. The band presents a contemporary reimagining of the 1990s power trio, where the guitar is replaced by electronic instruments capable of generating constantly evolving textures, rhythms, and soundscapes. The musical identity of Tricksy MOB stems from the intersection of thirty years of electronic culture with 1990s alternative rock, blending grooves, synthetic sounds, and a characteristically rock attitude.The repertoire features a mix of original tracks, reinterpretations, and extensive improvisation sections, developed in real time and shaped by the interaction between the musicians and the machines. The live performance breaks away from the traditional track-by-track structure of rock music: the set is conceived as a continuous flow of music, beats, and electronic sounds, closer to the experience of a DJ set than a conventional rock concert.
During the concert, artists from different disciplines draw inspiration from one another, improvising and creating something unique and impossible to replicate.
