Da quasi vent’anni Manuel Pramotton (sax) e Federico Marchesano (contrabbasso ed effetti) condividono il palco, coltivando un dialogo musicale che si rinnova ogni volta. La loro intesa, maturata nel tempo, si traduce in un interplay profondo, dove l’improvvisazione diventa il cuore pulsante della narrazione sonora. Il respiro del sax si intreccia con le vibrazioni del contrabbasso, arricchito da elettronica ed effetti, generando atmosfere che spaziano dall’intimo al visionario. Ogni esibizione è un viaggio imprevedibile, capace di trasformare l’istante in poesia sonora, sospesa tra radici jazzistiche e libertà creativa.

Federico Marchesano è contrabbassista diplomato al Conservatorio “G. Verdi” di Torino e perfezionato con Franco Petracchi. Ha studiato improvvisazione e composizione con Stefano Battaglia e Louis Sclavis. Attivo tra jazz, classica e sperimentale, ha collaborato con importanti orchestre (RAI, Accademia di S. Cecilia, Teatro Regio di Torino) e diretto da maestri come Lorin Maazel e Bernard Haitink. È primo contrabbasso dell’Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino e guida il quartetto Atalante. Ha suonato con artisti come Bollani, Bosso, Trovesi, Elio, L’Arpeggiata.
Manuel Pramotton (Ivrea, 1982), sassofonista, si è diplomato al Conservatorio della Valle d’Aosta e specializzato in jazz al Conservatorio di Losanna. Ha collaborato con ensemble internazionali e artisti come Sclavis, Bosso e Andy Sheppard. È docente di sassofono e artista ufficiale Schagerl dal 2024. Ha vinto premi come Talenti del Terzo Millennio e Jazz in Cantiere.
For almost twenty years, Manuel Pramotton (saxophone) and Federico Marchesano (double bass and effects) have been sharing the stage, cultivating a musical dialogue that is renewed each time. Their understanding, matured over time, translates into a deep interplay, where improvisation becomes the beating heart of the sound narration. The breath of the sax intertwines with the vibrations of the double bass, enriched by electronics and effects, generating atmospheres that range from the intimate to the visionary. Each performance is an unpredictable journey, capable of transforming the moment into sound poetry, suspended between jazz roots and creative freedom.

Federico Marchesano is a double bassist who graduated from the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Turin and refined his studies with Franco Petracchi. He studied improvisation and composition with Stefano Battaglia and Louis Sclavis. Active between jazz, classical, and experimental music, he has collaborated with major orchestras (RAI, Accademia di S. Cecilia, Teatro Regio di Torino) and has been conducted by maestros such as Lorin Maazel and Bernard Haitink. He is principal double bass of the Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino and leads the quartet Atalante. He has played with artists such as Bollani, Bosso, Trovesi, Elio, L’Arpeggiata.
