Una musica dove il presunto errore – il rumore di fondo, la deformazione, l’interruzione – non è un difetto, ma un gesto creativo.
Ogni suono, anche il più piccolo, ha un ruolo preciso in un delicato mosaico elettronico, dove il pieno dialoga con il vuoto, la materia con lo spazio.
Il progetto si muove nel territorio della “minimal electronic”, ma guarda anche oltre: frammenti jazz, tensioni ambient, superfici sonore che si spezzano e si ricompongono.
È una composizione che rifiuta l’esercizio di stile fine a sé stesso, cercando invece una forma viva, concreta, capace di disturbare, trasportare, emozionare.

Facendo la spola tra Berlino e Aosta (sua città natale), sUb_modU, aka Romeo Sandri, è un artista italiano che lavora nei meandri della musica elettronica e jazz.
Il suo EP di debutto "Circles" su BBE Music di Londra è stato seguito da "Pidgin Synths EP" su Tru Thoughts Records (l’etichetta di Brighton/UK che pubblica attualmente i suoi lavori), un'uscita che intrecciava un omaggio al pioniere dell'afrobeat Fela Kuti con materiale originale ricco di synth.
Il suo album di debutto "Descent To The Centre" (Tru Thoughts 2021) è un racconto autobiografico ed esistenzialista di sé, che fonde lo spettro elettrico/psichedelico del jazz con influenze house, avant-garde e ambient.
sUb_modU ha accumulato un'impressionante lista di supporter, tra cui Gilles Peterson (BBC 6Music), Ross Allen (NTS) e Virgil Abloh (Off White).
Come produttore di musica elettronica e polistrumentista, sUb_modU ha girato l'Europa con vari progetti e si è esibito ai festival Jazz Re:found, Chamoisic, Apolide e Nylon.
