Per uno dei suoi esperimenti performativi, Darragh sta cercando persone che gli portino oggetti provenienti dalle loro vite, o dalle vite di persone che conoscevano. Poiché gli oggetti devono essere equilibrati, devono avere una certa dimensione affinché la tecnica funzioni nel contesto della performance. Una semplice regola pratica è che l’oggetto dovrebbe essere lungo almeno 25 cm. Alcuni esempi di oggetti che possono funzionare: bastone da passeggio, bastone, cornice (con/senza foto), piuma, strumenti musicali (flauto, archetto per violino, chitarra, ecc.), mobili (non troppo pesanti!), utensili da cucina (mestolo, cucchiaio di legno, ecc.), bottiglia, coltello, attrezzo da giardino, (grande) libro, cuscino rigido… ecc. ecc.
È importante che l’oggetto non sia completamente casuale, ma che abbia una connessione con una persona, un luogo o un ricordo.
For one of his performative experiments, Darragh is looking for people to bring him objects from their lives, or the lives of people they knew. As the objects need to be balanced, they have to be of a certain size for the technique to work in the context of the performance. A simple rule of thumb is that the object should be at least 25 cm in length. Some examples of objects that can work: walking stick, stick, picture frame (with/without picture), feather, musical instruments (flute, violin bow, guitar etc.), furniture (not too heavy!), kitchen implement (wooden spoon, ladle etc.), bottle, knife, garden tool, (large) book, (stiff) pillow ......etc. etc.
It is important that the object is not completely random, but has a connection to a person, place, or memory.
