“Là où la nuit n’est pas si loin puisque le jour s’en va déjà” (“Dove la notte non è così lontana perché il giorno sta già andando via”) nasce dalla sensazione di essere solo un corpo, un ponte tra l’interno e l’esterno, un luogo “in mezzo”. Mentre l’esterno lo trasforma, anche il corpo trasforma l’esterno.
È una ricerca sensibile sul corpo al di là della sua dimensione sociale. Barbara Stiegler, in Nietzsche and Life, scrive: “Come creare qualcosa di stabile e semplice dal flusso instabile di ciò che ci accade? E come lasciarci trasformare da questo flusso pur restando uniti come un solo corpo?” Questo spettacolo incarna queste domande, offrendo una visione del corpo non come spazio definito, ma in continua trasformazione, dove i confini si fondono con ciò che lo circonda.
Attraverso la resistenza, un corpo vibrante e lento si dispiega a terra e su una ruota tedesca reinventata. Diversamente dai tradizionali spettacoli circensi, questo lavoro si concentra su tatto, peso, densità e sensazioni. Corpo, ruota, luci e suoni aprono spazi diversi e tempi sovrapposti, creando rotture. Ogni elemento ha autonomia ma insieme forma uno spazio-tempo unico e teso che coinvolge il pubblico.

Noa Aubry, nata nel 1997 a Montreuil, ha studiato chitarra classica al Conservatorio di Montreuil e ha collaborato fin dai 16 anni con l’Orchestre de Spectacle de Montreuil. La sua pratica circense si è sviluppata grazie all’incontro con la ruota tedesca, che ha reso personale il suo approccio. Dopo studi in Multimedia e un’esperienza come assistente scolastica, ha frequentato le scuole professionali di circo ENACR e CNAC in Francia. Il suo background musicale e l’interesse per la danza contemporanea guidano un’esplorazione sensibile e ritmica della ruota, anche materialmente reinventata. Ispirata da passeggiate, letture e discussioni, il suo lavoro cerca l’incontro tra intelletto e sensazione, con il corpo vivente come bussola. Dopo la laurea, ha iniziato a creare il suo primo spettacolo, sviluppato con Naïf Production e selezionato come CircusNext 2024 Laureate. È anche interprete per Les Filles du Renard Pâle.
“Là où la nuit n’est pas si loin puisque le jour s’en va déjà” (“Where the night is not so far away because the day is already leaving”) begins from the feeling of being only a body, a bridge between inside and outside, a place “in-between.” As the outside transforms it, the body also transforms the outside. It is a sensitive exploration of the body beyond its social dimension. Barbara Stiegler, in Nietzsche and Life, writes: “How to make something stable and simple from the unstable flow of what happens to us? And how to let ourselves be transformed by this flow while remaining united as a single body?” This show embodies these questions, offering a vision of the body not as a defined space but as one in constant transformation, where edges merge with the surroundings. Through resistance, a vibrating and slow body unfolds on the ground and on a reinvented German wheel. Unlike typical circus shows, this work focuses on touch, weight, density, and sensations. Body, wheel, lights, and sounds open different spaces and overlapping times, creating ruptures. Each element has autonomy but together forms a unique, tense space-time that immerses the audience.

Noa Aubry, born in 1997 in Montreuil, studied classical guitar at the Conservatoire de Montreuil and collaborated from age 16 with the Orchestre de Spectacle de Montreuil. Her circus practice was shaped by her encounter with the German wheel, developing a personal approach. After studies in Multimedia and working as a school assistant, she attended professional circus schools ENACR and CNAC in France. Her musical background and interest in contemporary dance guide a sensitive, rhythm-focused exploration of the wheel, also reimagined materially. Inspired by walks, readings, and discussions, her work seeks the meeting of intellect and sensation, with the living body as her compass. After graduating, she began creating her first show, developed with Naïf Production and named CircusNext 2024 Laureate. She also performs with Les Filles du Renard Pâle.
