Continuando le ricerche iniziate con A Solo in the Spotlights (2022), Vittorio Pagani si interroga sui meccanismi di produzione e diffusione delle opere di danza mettendo in scena il (super)processo creativo del suo nuovo spettacolo.

SUPERSTELLA è un'indagine esistenziale e artistica che oscilla tra caos e ordine, tra idealizzazione e realtà, tra il desiderio di compiutezza e il fascino del perpetuo divenire. Questo limbo creativo fatto di backstage, flashback e prospettive future, fa del presente uno spazio dove nulla si crea e nulla si distrugge, ma tutto si trasforma.

Ispirata al mito delle STELLE del cinema e in dialogo con 81⁄2 del grande Federico Fellini, questa performance intreccia video, sampling, danza e parola - contro il buio, contro ogni previsione.

BIO

Vittorio Pagani è un performer e coreografo originario di Milano.

Nel 2018 entra a far parte del Ballet Junior de Genève, dove danza opere di alcuni tra i più influenti coreografi internazionali (Marcos Morau, Jan Martens, Olivier Dubois, Hofesh Shechter...). Nel 2022 crea il duetto Around 5:65, selezionato per la prestigiosa piattaforma RIDCC. Nel 2023 consegue un Master in Expanded Dance Practice presso The Place London (UAL), dove crea A Solo in the Spotlights, selezionato per Resolution 2023, Vetrina della Giovane Danza d’Autore 2023 e Aerowaves 2024.

Nel 2025 debutta con SUPERSTELLA, il suo secondo assolo, che viene selezionato per Vetrina della Giovane Danza d’Autore 2025 e NID Platform 2025 e viene presentato, tra gli altri, al Festival Roma Europa.

Can the creative act truly ignore external judgment and personal experience?

Continuing the research initiated with A Solo in the Spotlights (2022), Vittorio Pagani investigates the mechanisms through which dance works are created and circulated, staging the (super)creative process behind his new performance.

SUPERSTELLA is an existential and artistic inquiry that oscillates between chaos and order, idealization and reality, the longing for completeness and the allure of perpetual becoming. This creative limbo—made of backstage, flashbacks, and future projections—turns the present into a space where nothing is created and nothing is destroyed, but everything is transformed.

Inspired by the myth of cinema stars and in dialogue with Federico Fellini's 8½, the performance weaves together video, sampling, dance, and spoken word—against darkness, against every prediction.

Vittorio Pagani is a performer and choreographer from Milan, Italy.

In 2018, he joined the Ballet Junior de Genève, where he performed works by some of today's leading international choreographers, including Marcos Morau, Jan Martens, Olivier Dubois, and Hofesh Shechter.

In 2022, he created the duet Around 5:65, selected for the prestigious RIDCC – Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition.

In 2023, he completed an MA in Expanded Dance Practice at The Place (University of the Arts London), where he created A Solo in the Spotlights, selected for Resolution 2023, Vetrina della Giovane Danza d'Autore 2023, and Aerowaves Twenty24.

In 2025, he premiered SUPERSTELLA, his second solo work, which was selected for Vetrina della Giovane Danza d'Autore 2025 and NID Platform 2025, and has been presented at festivals including Romaeuropa Festival.
